View the value of Dutch houses based on postal code or address and environmental law

Get the Dutch tax value of a house.

For tax purposes Dutch vilages have to make an evaluation of all the Dutch houses. You can find the value of a house based on a postal code or address. Dutch postal codes consist of four digits and two characters (9999AA). You can get this evaluation free of charge from the Dutch governmental website: House Value Counter Dutch language only.

ruimtelijkeplanning.nl is the online portal that the government uses to make digital spatial plans accessible. All the spatial plans are displayed on a single image so in one glance can be seen which spatial plans have been made for a specific area. This site is freely accessible to everyone via Ruimtelijke Plannen. Visit the website using a PC, as the information will not fit on mobile devices.

The Environmental Act was introduced on January 1, 2024 after many years of delay. The Environmental Act, which was published in the Staatsblad on April 26, 2016, concerns the space in which people live, work and relax. This new law merges 26 old decentralized laws and contains rules for what can be seen, heard and smelled outside. You can apply for a permit for a new plan or idea in the new digital Environment Desk and this will be handled by the municipality. This desk contains all the rules and plans of municipalities, provinces, water boards and the government. Due to the shift of responsibilities and controls to the municipalities, a major lack of knowledge is expected in the smaller municipalities during the first few years that project developers will make effective use of.
