The percentage of businesses using Microsoft SQL Server has increased in the last year by as much as 5 percentage points. The number of businesses that deploy Microsoft?s database have grown one and a half times in seven years. Oracle remains a distance second; the percentage of businesses that use Oracle and MySQL databases remains more or less stable. IBM, Sybase and Progress see their customer base decrease lightly for quite some time. Computer Profile interviewed (september 2013) 5500 organizations with at least 50 employees in commission of the AutomatiseringGids.nl. The Dutch document can be found here.
