Microsoft's SMB organization published a blog post where Hyper-V Replica did in fact keep two small businesses available during Hurricane Sandy. From Windows Server 2012 R2 the default period for asynchronous replication of the Hyper-V Replica Log is every 5 minutes, but this can be changed to every 30 seconds or every 15 minutes.Hyper-V is Microsoft's product for virtualizing Windows and Linux servers and desktops.
